Peraton is looking for a Cloud Architect to support a government customer by migrating workloads to the cloud, ensuring secure and efficient cloud solutions.
Requirements
- A minimum 3 years of experience specifically within Microsoft Azure Government.
- Proven experience in designing flexible, scalable, and highly-available cloud architectures and systems.
- Expertise in containerization technologies (Kubernetes, Docker) and IAC tools (Terraform, ARM templates).
- Familiarity with DevOps concepts and tools (GitLab, JIRA, Jenkins).
- Knowledge of cloud computing service models Software as a Service (SaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), and Platform as a Service (PaaS).
- Knowledge of cloud computing deployment models in a public, private, and hybrid environment.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, cyber threats, and vulnerabilities.
Responsibilities
- Create security-driven Azure enterprise architectures, enterprise systems, and service-oriented architectures.
- Establish and execute detailed cloud migration project plans.
- Drive cloud consulting engagements by providing technical and business insights to cloud strategy engagements, technology and architecture, deployments, cloud migrations, and portfolio management.
- Lead the design and implementation of PaaS/IaaS services, constructs, and deployment methods using containerization, database-as-a-service, storage, and infrastructure automation.
- Provide expertise in architecture and design of services and systems in support of the various customer applications through the organization and its security.
- Participate in technical project review meetings to ensure technical designs meet the client’s operational requirements and infrastructure/security standards.
- Educate and influence stakeholders and engineering teams on effective cloud solutions and best practices.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of experience; OR Master’s Degree and 10+ years of experience; OR 7 years with PhD.
- Active IAT Level II (CompTIA Security+).
- Active CCSP, CASP+, CISSP, or Computing Environment Certificate equivalent to IAM Level III or IASAE Level II.
- Active Secret clearance (TS/SCI eligibility preferred).
