Peraton is looking to solve the problem of setting up and managing cloud infrastructures for federal agencies, ensuring scalability, agility, optimization, security, integration, compliance, and interoperability of cloud deployed capabilities.
Requirements
- Proficiency in cloud architecture design, including networking, scalability, and security of cloud-based solutions
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
- Knowledge of cloud-native technologies and tools such as containerization, Kubernetes, and serverless computing
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure including virtualization, storage, networking, and load balancing
- Understanding of cloud security best practices including encryption, micro segmentation, and least privilege
- Familiarity with cloud management and Infrastructure/Configuration as code tools like Terraform and Ansible
- Experience with DevSecOps methodologies and continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices
Responsibilities
- Analyzing the requirements of a federal agency's applications and capabilities being built to provide an underlying foundation within the cloud to properly host and support those services
- Designing and deploying cloud-based solutions more efficiently and effectively
- Managing the architecture of an organization’s cloud environment
- Defining the cloud infrastructure, networking, and deployment of agency systems
- Working with other Cloud Engineers and Cloud Security personnel to properly define the cloud infrastructure
- Deploying cloud-based solutions
- Ensuring the scalability, agility, optimization, security, integration, compliance, and interoperability of cloud deployed capabilities
Other
- Education/Experience Requirements: Minimum of 14 years with AS/AA; Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D.
- Clearance Requirement: Active Secret (TS/SCI preferred)
- Certification Requirements: One active certification from each category- CCSP, CASP, CISSP, CISM, GSLC, CCSLP, CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND, or Security+
- Certification Requirements: One active certification from each category- Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator Associate, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional/Associate)
