Rackspace Technology is looking to solve the business and technical problem of designing, automating, and deploying services on behalf of their customers to AWS in a way that allows these services to automatically heal themselves if things go south. They aim to build solutions using infrastructure-as-code so customers can refine and reuse these processes without needing further assistance.
Requirements
- 8 + years of software development or application engineering with recent coding experience in two or more modern programing languages such as: Java, JavaScript, C/C++, C, Swift, Node.js, Python, Go, or Ruby
- Hands-on recent development experience and capability. You will be expected to write and review code.
- 5+ years of experience as a technical specialist in Customer-facing roles.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD).
- Architecting, designing and developing applications on the AWS platform.
- Designing and building application using Container and serverless technologies.
Responsibilities
- Architect and build highly scalable, cloud-native applications on the AWS platform using core developer services such as: API Gateway, Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, and ECS, AKS
- Event Driven application development
- Amazon Connect, Connect Flows with Lambda Invokation.
- Leverage new technology paradigms (e.g., serverless, containers, microservices).
- Migrate monolithic applications to microservices architectures.
- Advise on implementing AWS best practices.
- Influence infrastructure architecture by sharing your application development expertise.
Other
- Work as a technical leader alongside customer business, development, and infrastructure teams.
- Lead technical and design discussions with IT executives to help enterprises speed their adoption of new technologies and practices.
- Willingness to travel to client locations and deliver professional services
