Peraton is looking to solve national security problems by driving the creation of a powerful analytic that influences world events, and the company needs a skilled software engineer to contribute to this effort.
Requirements
- AWS Certified Developer – Associate
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional
- Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
- Elastic Certified Engineer
- Hands-on experience with Git, Kubernetes, Docker, or comparable DevOps tools.
- Familiarity with the Spring Framework / Spring Batch.
- Experience working with databases such as MongoDB and Elasticsearch.
Responsibilities
- Implement, test, and operate advanced software security techniques in alignment with technical reference architectures.
- Conduct ongoing security testing and code reviews to enhance overall software security.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues as they arise.
- Design and engineer new software solutions aimed at mitigating security vulnerabilities.
- Contribute to all layers of system architecture while maintaining clear and accurate technical documentation.
- Advise team members on secure coding practices and industry best standards.
- Stay current with emerging tools, methodologies, and best practices to continuously strengthen security posture.
Other
- Active TS/SCI security clearance with current polygraph (required)
- Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in software development/engineering.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university (required)
- Willingness to support rotating on-call responsibilities across the team.
- Ability to work with a dynamic team and contribute to a critical national security program.
