Bloomberg's Engineering Marketing Platforms group needs to build systems that identify and capture high-value business opportunities, powering users' first interactions with Bloomberg by tracking engagement in marketing initiatives and managing sales interactions. The Outreach & Infra team is responsible for building resilient, secure, and scalable systems for over 100 Bloomberg marketing websites and applications serving millions of users globally.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of programming experience with an object-oriented programming language (JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Shell Scripting)
  • 4+ years of experience as an AWS Cloud Engineer, with a track record of designing, deploying, and optimizing scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions
  • Experience with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Familiarity working with general web technologies - DNS, CDN, Load balancers, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability working with or designing highly-available, fault-tolerant distributed systems using infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or cloudFormation, and solid background in CI/CD pipeline development and automation
  • Comfort with security
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive iterative software development

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement performant, reliable, and scalable applications and workflows
  • Work across the stack, lead technical discussions, and conduct code reviews
  • Own processes end-to-end—from design and development to testing, deployment, and production support
  • Collaborate with Marketing stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver thoughtful, impactful solutions
  • Apply strong knowledge of software development principles, design patterns, and algorithms
  • Architects and manages the entire infrastructure and software development lifecycle — including DNS, CDNs, load balancing, cloud security, compute, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Design solutions that enhance performance, scalability, resilience, and observability

Other

  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar field of study or equivalent work experience
