Emerson is seeking a Software Engineering Intern with an interest in cloud development to support the backend of their Nigel AI Advisor, aiming to foster innovation and develop award-winning products.
Requirements
- Understanding of good software design and architecture principles including: Data structures
- Object oriented programming
- Service based architectures
- Experience programming in Python
- Experience using source code control (e.g. Git)
- Experience with cloud development and Kubernetes
- Experience working in the Azure DevOps environment
Responsibilities
- Deliver product features by participating in research, design, development, and documentation efforts.
- Collaborate with team members and project leaders on design discussions and code architecture.
- Specify, design, and implement new product features.
- Develop unit and automated functional tests to ensure high code quality and catch future regressions.
- Explore and apply new technologies to continually improve our infrastructure and processes.
