GDIT plays a leading role in managing and modernizing data warehouse infrastructure for The Centers for Medicare and CMS (CMS). A Cloud Software Test Analyst will provide testing and analysis to support the program in addition to supporting the mission of migrating the IDR Teradata data and ETLs from Informatica to the Snowflake Cloud.

  • Software Testing Tools
  • 3+ years of software testing experience, such as data warehouse ETL testing and data quality management
  • Experience with Agile methodology; Solid back-end testing experience in writing and executing SQL queries; Knowledge of various software testing methods; Ability to review, test and evaluate the work of others by participating in Peer Reviews

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze user stories, acceptance criteria, business requirements, system requirements and technical specifications.
  • Develop test scenarios, document test cases, create test data/files, compile test summary documentation and provide work estimation for testing tasks.
  • Design, develop and execute test cases for RESTful and SOAP APIs.
  • Validate request/response payloads, headers, status codes, and error handling.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration and performance testing of APIs.
  • Automate API test suites using tools like Postman, JMeter and SoapUI.
  • Implement API tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Other

  • BA/BS in a Computer Science or related technical discipline or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience
  • Requires ability to pass CMS background check and meet the residency requirement for having resided in the US at least (3) three out of the last (5) five years
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, recommends improvement to support quality; Ability to be flexible to changing demands and priorities; Excellent teamwork and organizational skills; Ability to work independently and as a cooperative member of the team
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Prior experience developing healthcare IT solutions strongly preferred
