GDIT plays a leading role in managing and modernizing data warehouse infrastructure for The Centers for Medicare and CMS (CMS). A Cloud Software Tester Principal will provide testing and analysis to support the program in addition to supporting the mission of migrating the IDR Teradata data and ETLs from Informatica to the Snowflake Cloud.
Requirements
- Experience with Agile methodology
- Solid back-end testing experience in writing and executing SQL queries
- Knowledge of various software testing methods
- Ability to review, test and evaluate the work of others by participating in Peer Reviews
- Experience with automated testing and developing test scripts
- Experience in Atlassian (Confluence, Jira), TestRail, Test Director, Informatica (PowerCenter, DEI), Snowflake, Datastage, AWS (S3, CLI, EMR, EC2, Glue, Cloudtamer), Databricks, Postman, SoapUI
- Strong understanding of data governance, data quality and compliance standards.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze user stories, acceptance criteria, business requirements, system requirements and technical specifications.
- Develop test scenarios, document test cases, create test data/files, compile test summary documentation and provide work estimation for testing tasks.
- Design, develop and execute test cases for RESTful and SOAP APIs.
- Validate request/response payloads, headers, status codes, and error handling.
- Perform functional, regression, integration and performance testing of APIs.
- Automate API test suites using tools like Postman, JMeter and SoapUI.
- Implement API tests into CI/CD pipelines.
