Delta Air Lines is looking to solve environmental compliance problems through the Corporate Environmental Compliance Department’s Program Managers, focusing on air quality, spill prevention, waste management, and environmental management systems.
Requirements
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of Microsoft applications including OneDrive, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Excel
- Have experience with other applicable internet applications
- Majors in Environmental Management/Sciences, Environmental Engineering, or a related field of study (preferred)
- Knowledge of environmental media areas (Air, Water, Waste, etc.)
- Understanding of regulatory requirements and generally-accepted standards of good practice
- Experience with compliance management and information systems
- Familiarity with environmental management systems (EMS)
Responsibilities
- Assist Program Managers in developing, maintaining and implementing Delta’s media-related compliance programs
- Support one or more of the Corporate Environmental Compliance Department’s Program Managers/subject matter experts for environmental media-related compliance programs
- Assist in meeting and exceeding federal, state, and local compliance at the station/facility level
- Conduct station/facility visits and some intermittent overnight domestic travel
- Work with Microsoft applications including OneDrive, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Excel
- Use other applicable internet applications
- Implement compliance management and information systems
Other
- Must be enrolled as a full-time student pursuing an undergraduate degree in a 4-year academic institution
- At least a 3.0 GPA on a 4-point scale
- Must be able to work on a full-time basis for 3 alternating semesters
- Must be able to work onsite in our Atlanta, GA office for the duration of the Co-op
- Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency
