Volvo Group Trucks Operations (GTO) is looking to improve internal processes within their Chicago Distribution Center by structuring ways to collect, process, and analyze data to support operations, aiming to contribute to the student's development and provide experience in the manufacturing industry.
Requirements
- Fully proficient in MS ACCESS and MS EXCEL including VBA
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
Responsibilities
- Develop ways to extract information from current systems to support operational decisions
- Optimize and develop the MS ACCESS database, or suggest technology that may better serve the needs of the warehouse
- Create and optimize MS EXCEL templates supporting the operational needs
- Support with process data analysis
- Communicate with different stakeholders to support the implementations
- Work together with the operation to Implement Ideas
- Work with Lean Manufacturing concepts such as 5S, Standardized Work, Visual Management, PDCA, among others
