Saab's Surveillance U.S. Division is looking for a Software Engineering Co-Op to apply their studies to real-world product development for Radar systems
Requirements
- Knowledge of Java or C++ software development, and object-oriented experience
- UML modeling tools for illustrating the software design
- Software development in a Linux environment
- Utilizing a unit test framework
- Subversion (SVN) for configuration management
Responsibilities
- Actively participate in the software development for Radar systems
- Work with senior software engineers to design and develop modular, configurable software that can be used on multiple programs
- Participate in internal technical meetings and design reviews
- Collaborate with software lead for task planning and scheduling of own activities
Other
- Enrollment in an accredited degree program focused in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline
- Completed Sophomore year or greater at time of hire
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
