Saab's Surveillance U.S. Division is seeking motivated, enthusiastic Engineering students for a paid Co-Op/Internship opportunity to apply their studies to real-world product development in Radar systems.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Java or C++ software development, and object-oriented experience.
- Desired experience: UML modeling tools for illustrating the software design, software development in a Linux environment, utilizing a unit test framework, and Subversion (SVN) for configuration management.
Responsibilities
- Actively participate in the software development for Radar systems.
- Work with senior software engineers to design and develop modular, configurable software that can be used on multiple programs.
- Participate in internal technical meetings and design reviews.
- Collaborate with software lead for task planning and scheduling of own activities.
Other
- Enrollment in an accredited degree program focused in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline.
- Completed Sophomore year or greater at time of hire.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Prior Co-Op experience is preferred, but not required.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
- As a condition of employment, candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
