Fives Machining Systems, Inc (FMSI) is looking for a student to be exposed to the engineering design process by being given assignments of increasing scope and responsibility over the course of his/her coop career.
Requirements
- Design and analysis of machine tool products
- Understanding design input requirements
- Analysis of design, for both subsystem and system level products
- Drafting practices and standards 3D modeling and 2D drawing creation
- Creation of Bill of Material Release Authority Design verification/validation testing
- Interfacing with the Controls Electrical engineering teams
- Participating on cross functional project team
Responsibilities
- Design and analysis of machine tool products, with follow-up during assembly and unit/prototype testing in lab environments and or the production shop floor.
- Understanding design input requirements
- Analysis of design, for both subsystem and system level products
- Drafting practices and standards 3D modeling and 2D drawing creation
- Creation of Bill of Material Release Authority Design verification/validation testing
- Interfacing with the Controls Electrical engineering teams
- Participating on cross functional project team
