Hologic's R&D Engineering team is responsible for the research and development of current and future products in women's health. The Software Engineering Co-op will assist with software development tasks and testing for existing and future devices, contributing to the design, development, testing, and documentation process of medical devices.
Requirements
- Knowledge of programming languages such as C/C++, Java and Python.
- Have experience with embedded development.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the development team on software design and implementation.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
- Assist in testing, debugging and troubleshooting software issues.
- Contribute to the development of automated tests to ensure code quality.
- Work on documentation and contribute to project planning sessions.
Other
- Able to work full-time (40 hours per week) over the co-op Spring 2026 term (January – June)
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program and have at least one semester remaining to complete after the internship
- Rising Junior or Rising Senior
- Majoring in software engineering preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience or exposure to working with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Be a self-starter and resourceful problem-solver with the ability to work collaboratively.
- Ability to work onsite at our Marlborough, MA campus. Intern housing, relocation, and housing stipends are not provided
