Saab's Surveillance U.S. Division is looking for motivated Engineering students to apply their studies to real-world product development through a paid Co-Op/Internship opportunity, specifically in software development for Radar systems.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Java or C++ software development, and object-oriented experience.
- UML modeling tools for illustrating the software design.
- Software development in a Linux environment.
- Utilizing a unit test framework.
- Subversion (SVN) for configuration management.
Responsibilities
- Actively participate in the software development for Radar systems.
- Work with senior software engineers to design and develop modular, configurable software that can be used on multiple programs.
- Participate in internal technical meetings and design reviews.
- Collaborate with software lead for task planning and scheduling of own activities.
Other
- Enrollment in an accredited degree program focused in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline.
- Completed Sophomore year or greater at time of hire.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
