Delta Air Lines is looking to achieve Net-Zero carbon emissions by 2050 and is seeking to eliminate its climate impact from flying. The Sustainability Analytics team needs to analyze operational data, develop data pipelines, and create reports and dashboards to support these goals.
Requirements
- Proficiency in any scripting programming language (Python, Bash, PowerShell) is required
- Experience with SQL or Database querying tools to include ETL and functional knowledge of data modeling is required
- Experience with Tableau/Power BI is required
- Experience with common python data libraries
- Experience with Alteryx
- Proficiency in basic data analytics
- Strong computer skills with extensive knowledge of Microsoft office suite
Responsibilities
- Dive into sustainability-related operational data to uncover insights, supporting our data strategy and contributing to the Carbon Council and broader Global Sustainability initiatives.
- Assist in the development of data pipelines to streamline our analytics processes.
- Create, automate, and maintain various reports and dashboards, having ownership of both front-end and back-end responsibilities.
- Assess current scripts for efficiency and accuracy, offering recommendations for enhancements to optimize performance.
- Thoroughly document all existing scripts, workflows, and data structures, ensuring clarity and accessibility for both technical and non-technical team members.

- Must be enrolled as a full-time student pursuing an undergraduate degree in a 4-year academic institution
- At least a 3.0 GPA on a 4-point scale
- Must be able to work on a full-time basis for 3 alternating semesters: Fall 2025, Summer 2026, and Spring 2027
- Must be able to work onsite in our Atlanta, GA office for the duration of the Co-op
- Strong organizational, project management, and personal management skills
