Requirements
- Knowledge and experience with computer-based software and applications
- Formal and informal presentations to internal and external customers on a variety of work-related topics
- Experience with biosecurity protocols and animal welfare programs
Responsibilities
- assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of biosecurity policies and procedures
- lead risk assessments and mitigation planning related to animal disease outbreaks
- train and guide staff on biosecurity and humane handling, care, and housing of birds
- monitor key performance indicators and report findings to Director of Quality Assurance
Other
- College degree (or equivalent experience) with 6+ years of progressive experience in field of expertise
- Domestic travel required
- Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds)
- Must use safe lifting techniques and follow required safety procedures
- Bachelor's degree or higher
