Fiserv, a global leader in Fintech and payments, is looking to hire a COBOL Developer to develop and maintain complex software components of their business application systems, enhancing financial services for their clients.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software application development.
- 5+ years of experience with COBOL in a mainframe environment.
- 5+ years of experience with MVS/JCL.
- 5+ years of experience with DB2, SQL, CICS, and VSAM.
- 2+ years of experience with SAS or WPS.
- 3+ years of experience with formalized software development lifecycle methodologies.
- Strong experience with design concepts, philosophies, and tools for application development.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain moderately complex to complex software components of the business application system utilizing available developer tools.
- Create, execute, and review test plans, defining and establishing test data for thorough testing processes.
- Create and maintain comprehensive software documentation to ensure clarity and ease of future maintenance.
- Query and report system data using advanced reporting tools.
- Collaborate with business units and senior IT staff to define and document system changes, obtaining necessary approvals.
Other
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience.
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Visio.
- Experience with storage and retrieval of information in databases and other indexed storage methods.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future.
