The Criminal Justice Coordinating Council (CJCC) is looking for a data analyst to support the District's efforts to establish a continuum of care implementation plan for at-risk youth, aiming to improve outcomes by addressing gaps in service delivery.
Requirements
- 1 year of experience conducting research and evaluations using public health or justice system administrative data.
- Demonstrate an understanding of statistical concepts and their application in the analysis of public health and criminal justice data.
- Demonstrate programming language proficiency (R or Stata preferred), knowledge of database management and data visualization.
- Demonstrate an ability to analyze information from disparate datasets to derive a comprehensive understanding of the research topic, identify trends and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Outstanding analytical skills, including an ability to analyze complex data sets, identify trends and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Demonstrate an ability to analyze datasets to derive a comprehensive understanding of research topics, identify trends for meaningful conclusions.
- Outstanding communication skills, including an ability to present complex data in a way that is easily understood, clear and concise.
Responsibilities
- analyze qualitative and quantitative data to help support the agency’s Continuum of Care project
- identify and collect data relevant to the development of a plan for the establishment of a continuum of care
- organize and conduct research, and analyze data to support the creation of an implementation plan
- attend Planning Council meetings and collaborate with stakeholders to identify key data points for tracking and monitoring
- Collaborate with relevant agencies to collect and analyze selected data and identify trends
- Plan, organize and conduct qualitative research to support asset mapping and gap analysis
- Use collected and analyzed data to help inform Continuum of Care implementation plan
Other
- 1 year of work experience in the social sciences, preferably specializing in criminal justice, juvenile justice, public health, social science, or behavioral sciences.
- Demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively, respond to stakeholders’ needs, and regularly update stakeholders about project milestones.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Extensive criminal history background check will be required.
