Carilion Clinic is seeking to enhance its healthcare delivery through advanced Epic application system analysis and design, ensuring service excellence and quality by supporting both Epic and non-Epic applications.
Requirements
- Certification/Proficiency in applicable Epic module.
- Additional Certifications/Proficiencies in module associated with primary Epic module required.
- Vendor and/or industry certifications/proficiencies as determined by management.
- Experience in Service Now a plus.
- EPIC Cognitive Computing Badge is a plus, or available to obtain within the first year.
- Data Courier experience a plus.
Responsibilities
- Conducts advanced analysis of Epic application design including but not limited to planning implementations and maximizing application benefits.
- Plans and conducts requirements gathering for Epic projects and requests. Coordinates, plans and conducts detailed design sessions through knowledge of client/business needs and application functionality.
- Coordinates, plans, and conducts analysis of client business needs.
- Develops reference materials (status reports, documentation, knowledge transfer, etc.) for supported applications (Epic and non-Epic) and related technologies.
- Serves as a liaison between Epic modules.
- Serves as a professional and technical mentor to teammates.
- Adheres to the application change management process to include timely reporting of all pertinent change information, effective discussion of the changes, internal and external communications, contingency planning, support of the change event and post-change reporting, as appropriate.
Other
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, healthcare, business or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum of eight years of related experience.
- Valid Virginia drivers' license required.
- Must be a self-initiated team player that can work under minimal supervision, with strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Must be able to work both independently and in a team setting.
