LMR Technical Group (LMR) is seeking a Cognitive Performance Specialist to optimize aircrew cognitive readiness within the US Air Force fighter squadrons in the Optimizing the Human Weapon System (OHWS) program.
Requirements
Apply performance psychology techniques to optimize aircrew cognitive readiness.
Mental skills training, stress inoculation, and integrated approaches that combine cognitive and physical training for mission success.
Expert knowledge of applied sport/performance psychology.
Familiarity with operational and high-stress environments.
Responsibilities
Create, Deliver, Monitor and Evaluate group as well as individual mental performance sessions.
Integrate with the other Human Performance Team members to develop holistic programs.
Track and document cognitive individualized programs and metrics in a Human Performance Measures of Effectiveness report.
Conduct applied research to improve warfighter cognitive resilience.
Provide seminars, briefings, and educational sessions.
Other
Master’s degree in Sport Psychology (preferred major area of study), Human Performance, or related field from an accredited college/university.
2+ years of experience providing Cognitive Performance services in Tactical (military), Collegiate or Professional Sports, Aerospace, or similar man-machine high performance environment.
Current CPR and AED certification.
Current (or ability to obtain and maintain) Secret security clearance (T3 background investigation).
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Strong facilitation, research, and communication skills.
