Comcast's Order Tech team needs to enhance and maintain their Order Management Systems, which oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of customer orders across all Xfinity Lines of Business. The goal is to optimize and automate various aspects of this system, including fraud prevention, fulfillment, provisioning, activation, network management, and billing, by leveraging AI and machine learning techniques to improve speed to market, reduce customer-facing defects, and minimize outages.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Python, Java
- Knowledge of software development principles, software development lifecycle and object-oriented programming
- Understanding of AI/ML concepts and experience with Gen AI/ML tools & frameworks
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior developers to enhance and maintain the Order Management Systems, ensuring seamless end-to-end lifecycle management of customer orders across all Xfinity Lines of Business (LOB).
- Leverage AI and machine learning techniques to optimize and automate various aspects of the Order Management System, including fraud prevention, fulfillment, provisioning, activation, network management, and billing.
- Utilize AI-driven approaches to software development, such as intelligent code analysis, automated testing, and predictive maintenance.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, and testing to ensure high-quality software delivery, using AI tools to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
- Contribute to the development of new features and improvements, leveraging your knowledge of AI and related technologies to drive innovation.
- Work on AI-enhanced projects, such as developing intelligent algorithms for order processing and implementing machine learning models to predict and mitigate potential issues in the Order Management System.
- Design innovative AI-driven solutions, using AI tools to create and refine software architectures and prototypes.

- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from a United States-based college or university
- Rising Junior or Rising Senior only (must have a graduation date between Winter 2026- Spring 2028)
- Returning to degree-program (for at least a semester) after the completion of the summer internship (meaning, student must be returning to school for Fall 2026 semester before graduating)
- Available to work 40 hours per week over the course of the summer program starting June 1, 2026, through August 14, 2026
- Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs
