Comcast's Wireless Technology department needs to develop and maintain scalable, cloud-native platforms to enhance the MVNO partnership between Comcast and its MNO partners, support millions of mobile customers, and improve the troubleshooting tools used by Care agents. The team is also responsible for Comcast’s Community Wi-Fi hotspot network and developing private 5G infrastructure.
Requirements
- Proficiency in backend development using Node.js or Java.
- Familiarity with web development frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Django).
- Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Understanding of telecom concepts such as IMSI, MSISDN, SIM provisioning, and billing.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, and eagerness to learn.
Responsibilities
- Designing and optimizing APIs that support MVNO operations and entitlement services.
- Building scalable components for differentiated mobile service delivery.
- Enhancing internal platforms for real-time customer support and troubleshooting.
- Automating operational workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Improving system performance, reliability, and observability across distributed services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver software solutions.
- Test, debug, and deploy software applications in staging and production environments.

- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from a United States-based college or university
- Rising Junior or Rising Senior only (must have a graduation date between Winter 2026- Spring 2028)
- Returning to degree-program (for at least a semester) after the completion of the summer internship (meaning, student must be returning to school for Fall 2026 semester before graduating)
- Available to work 40 hours per week over the course of the summer program starting June 1, 2026, through August 14, 2026
- Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs
