Comcast's Technology, Product & Experience (TPX) organization, specifically the NOMAD department within CONNECT, is looking to automate the complete lifecycle of a complex infrastructure for their next-generation access network. This involves managing server racks, networking gear, and all associated software, configuration, and operating systems. They aim to build idempotent applications with safety guardrails to fully leverage automation while maintaining a secure environment.
Requirements
- Experience in programming (Python, Javascript, Golang, Java)
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming, data structure and algorithm design
- Experience in Test-driven development/test automation, continuous integration, and deployment automation
- Great design and problem-solving skills, with a strong bias for architecting at scale.
- The software applications we are building are containerized, microservice-based, cloud-deployed services.
- work on applications to automate configuration generation, software deployment and troubleshooting.
- These applications are intended to run on our lab systems as well as on our production systems.
Responsibilities
- Developing solutions that automates and orchestrate huge manual error-prone procedures
- Developing tools that will measure effectiveness of such automation products to further improve
- Implement solutions that are R&D based on cutting edge technologies.
- Do the necessary research and provide design options to problem solving.
- Thorough self-review and impact analysis before putting out deliverables for external review.
- Align with coding/design practices/standards set out by the team.
- Provide timely updates on the assigned work items.
Other
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from a United States-based college or university
- Rising Junior or Rising Senior only (must have a graduation date between Winter 2026- Spring 2028)
- Returning to degree-program (for at least a semester) after the completion of the summer internship (meaning, student must be returning to school for Fall 2026 semester before graduating)
- Available to work 40 hours per week over the course of the summer program starting June 1, 2026, through August 14, 2026
- Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs
