Neurocrine Biosciences is looking to build impactful AIML models and generate insights to drive data-driven decisions and optimize activities across the company, ultimately aiming to relieve suffering for people with great needs.
Requirements
- Proven experience with the AIML technology stack, (Python, Snowflake, Databricks, various libraries, etc.) and other development and distributed computing platforms
- Track record of innovating through machine learning and statistical algorithms and their applications
- Working experience with biopharmaceutical market data (meaning of data, limitations of data, ability to manipulate, etc.) including patient-level claims data, detailing, shipment, and other related datasets
- Working knowledge of the various methodologies of collecting and analyzing secondary data, primary market research, and competitive intelligence
- Has knowledge of best practices in the functional discipline and familiarity with the broader underlying concepts of related business disciplines
- Works to improve tools and processes within functional area
- Excellent computer skills
Responsibilities
- Implement and manage AIML models for use cases such as HCP marketing, sales lead generation/targeting, spend optimization, segmentation, customer churn
- May advance the level of AIML sophistication at Neurocrine, ensuring the use of cutting-edge tools and approaches that drive our business
- Triage and manage workstreams with offshore and/or vendor resources
- Create insightful stories/messaging around business challenges that help non-technical colleagues make sense of complex solutions
- Develop an understanding of available data sources, including capture methodologies, business operations, and manage appropriate advanced analytics solutions accordingly
- May identify business opportunities for data science to solve unmet business needs
- Foster a collaborative, positive and intellectually curious environment that encourages democratization of Commercial Advanced Analytics capabilities
Other
- BS/BA degree and 6+ year track record of innovating through machine learning and statistical algorithms and their business applications. Preferred industry experience in healthcare or biopharma, finance and consumer goods also considered OR Master's degree preferred and 4+ years of similar experience noted above OR PhD and 2+ years of similar experience noted above
- Ability to work as part of and lead multiple teams
- Exhibits leadership skill and ability, typically leads lower levels and/or indirect teams
- Excellent communications, problem-solving, analytical thinking skills
- Sees broader picture, impact on multiple departments/divisions
