Grange Insurance Company is looking to solve the problem of monitoring, maintaining, and modifying the Company’s Commercial Auto insurance product with primary focus on coverage and compliance issues.

Requirements

  • Three to five years’ experience as a Commercial Auto Underwriter or comparable position with knowledge of commercial coverages, rating plans, and underwriting criteria
  • Knowledge of commercial coverages, rating plans, and underwriting criteria
  • Ability to understand how our system works, why it works that way, downstream impacts, while also understanding underwriter/tech processes
  • Ability to research complicated underwriting questions to provide guidance
  • Demonstrated project management skills are strongly desired
  • CPCU is strongly desired
  • Knowledge of contract and form language used in all Commercial Auto product in relationship to competitors

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and monitor policy language standards for Commercial Auto contracts and forms to ensure and promote consistency, when possible, between states and products.
  • Conduct market analysis and competitive intelligence gathering in relation to coverages, endorsements, underwriting rules, and form language.
  • Maintain and revise Commercial Auto product manuals, policy forms and endorsements as needed to support product management.
  • Review, evaluate, develop and manage implementation plan for coverage rule and form changes for products supported by Insurance Services Office, American Association of Independent Insurers, Surety Association of America, NCCI, Hartford Steam Boiler and any other bureau or coverage partner.
  • Complete and submit product filings, as required, with each Department of Insurance to support changes.
  • Assist with coordination, implementation and communication of all product/price changes for a line of business with impacted departments, groups, associates and agents.
  • Provide support for project implementations relating to compliance.
