Barrios Technology is seeking Commercial Spaceflight Senior Software Engineers to support multiple software engineering disciplines, including simulation, flight software, software assurance, and software verification, to contribute to the future of space exploration through partnerships with leaders in Commercial Space.
Requirements
- Extensive flight Software or Simulator development experience
- Software test and verification experience
- Expertise in object-oriented software programming, such as C/C++
- Experience with hardware/software integration
- Experience leading integration with on cross-discipline engineering team
- Knowledge of systems engineering practices associated with the definition, design, development, verification, implementation, testing, integration, and validation of complex systems
- Experience with software architecture
Responsibilities
- Lead design and implementation of flight software based on defined systems requirements
- Utilize software engineering expertise in assessment of systems requirements and design
- Support verification and testing of software
- Integrate software solutions in a multi-disciplinary engineering team
- Interface with hardware design and development teams
- Provide technical expertise during major project milestones and project reviews
- Perform all other assigned duties
Other
- BS degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent, from an accredited engineering school and fifteen (15) years of related engineering experience -OR- BS degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent, from an accredited engineering school and twenty (20) years of related engineering experience
- Project management or other leadership experience
- Excellent communication skills (in both written and verbal), integration, coordination and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with customers and stakeholders
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.
