Prince George's County Department of Family Services is seeking a Community Developer to provide administrative assistance and support to the Division Manager of the Domestic Violence and Human Trafficking Division. This role requires a broad understanding of domestic violence and human trafficking issues, networks, and resources, as well as oversight of divisional systems and protocols.
Requirements
- Must be proficient in recording keeping, tracking, maintaining, and reporting statistics according to program guidelines and requirements.
- Must be able to multi-task, be detail-oriented, and have excellent verbal and communication skills.
- Must be knowledgeable of Microsoft applications and software programs.
Responsibilities
- Compiling, writing and editing grant applications
- Program coordination
- Management and analysis of performance data reports
- Data management functions
- Assists with the development and implementation of community-oriented projects, workshops, training, and programs designed to promote and educate citizen participation in prevention of domestic violence and human trafficking.
- Gathers statistical data to determine priorities for education and prevention activities, or for incorporation into management reports.
- Assists with the monitoring of Domestic Violence subcontractors to ensure compliance with contract performance measures/deliverables.
Other
- Bachelor's Degree with major course work in business or public administration, social service, sociology, psychology, or other fields
- Responsible work experience which includes coordination of group activities, preferably including work with disadvantaged individuals
- Master's degree in the behavioral sciences, human services, or social services fields.
- 3 years of supervisory experience.
- Child welfare experience and knowledge.
