Requirements
- Basic understanding of GD&T
- Basic understanding of Metrology
- MS Outlook skills
- Ability to use shop math
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings for fabricated parts, mechanical assemblies and specials
- Ability to use basic dimensional measuring tools
- Ability to use a resistance meter
- Willingness to learn software such as Oracle, Compliance Quest (QMS), Wriker, and SmarTeam
Responsibilities
- Complete recording of abnormalities on the checklists, DPU reports, and/or nonconforming material reports
- Inspecting fabricated parts
- Inspecting sub-assemblies
- Inspecting final assemblies
- An awareness of necessary safety practices and procedures
- Maintain appropriate levels of housekeeping
- Data entry and reporting on spreadsheets and specific report documentation
- Problem solving
Other
- One to three years of experience inspecting in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing
- Ability to work independently in a service-oriented environment
- Ability to support departmental team members on short notice
- Ability to change your start times on short notice as needed
