Siemens is looking to solve the business problem of introducing and producing rail components at Siemens Rail Components in Alpharetta, GA, by hiring a skilled Test Engineer to work with teams in the U.S. and abroad to localize international test setups, provide technical guidance, and streamline testing processes for rail components.
Requirements
- National Instruments LabVIEW experience
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience writing and editing requirement documents, test plans, and work instructions
- Experience with PLC programming
- Knowledge of the locomotive and rail market in the United States
- Experience in project engineering
- Experience working on international teams or in an international environment
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all test infrastructure
- Troubleshooting equipment malfunction
- Defining and implementing equipment maintenance
- Test infrastructure improvement plans
- Review Test Requirements and ensure local infrastructure is adequate
- Build / edit test procedures
- Implement test programs in LabVIEW
Other
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
- Minimum of five years related work experience
- Some travel anticipated
- Effective interpersonal skills (written and verbal)
