Riverside Research is seeking a Computational Electromagnetics Intern to contribute to ongoing research in computational electromagnetics, advancing the field through innovative algorithms, high-performance computing, and real-world applications.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience with scripting (python)
- 1-2 years of experience with C, C++ or Fortran
- 1-2 years of familiarity with using the Linux command line
- Familiarity with electromagnetics fundamentals (Maxwell’s equations, boundary conditions, etc.)
- 1-2 years of experience with Windows code development
- Experience with version control (git)
- Experience with MPI and OpenMP
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing, testing, or optimizing tools that solve Maxwell’s equations
- Contribute to code development, data analysis, and/or visualization
- Participate in group meetings and present findings or progress
Other
- Students entering at least their junior year in Fall 2026 in an undergraduate program in Physics, Astronomy, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or related field
- Must be a US citizen
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- U.S. Citizenship
