Xcel Energy is seeking candidates to support the Converged environment in Golden, CO, to provide valuable experience and training in the virtualization environment, specifically vSphere, and to support myriad critical applications in a cloud environment.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Unix/Windows/Virtualization
- Completed 2 years of undergraduate coursework, including classes in Computer Science/Computer Engineering
- vSphere
- VCF
- vCenter
- Aria Suite
- ServiceNow
Responsibilities
- Asset management in ServiceNow
- Supporting the underlying infrastructure for the Converged environment
- Patching/updating Dell and Cisco hardware
- Support and get familiar with Aria Suite
- Support and get familiar with vSphere, VCF, and vCenter
- Troubleshoot issues in vSphere
Other
- Current student, Junior or Senior status (as of August 2025)
- Enrolled in an ABET accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in Computer Science/ Computer Engineering
- Able to commute to the Lookout Center location, Golden CO- Hybrid Schedule
- Able to work part time during the fall (up to 20 hours a week)
- 3.0 GPA (out of a 4.0 scale) or higher
