SNC is looking for interns to contribute to actual projects and gain experience in aerospace and defense, preparing them for future careers. The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area specifically provides solutions for command/control, communications, ISR, force protection, and security to various customers.
Requirements
- Computer programming skills, preferably C, C++, Python, and/or Matlab
- Understanding of Electronics, Computer Systems, and/or Embedded Systems
Responsibilities
- Support software and hardware development
- Support test and validation
- Operate RF Lab equipment including signal generators, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, temperature chamber, etc.
- Contribute to internal research and development projects
- Collaborate with full-time engineers on real projects for external customers
- Ask questions, get involved, bring your ideas, be part of an actual project team, attend planning meetings, complete assignments as tasked by your team, absorb and learn from your team and apply that learning to projects assigned.
Other
- Must be a Sophomore, Junior or Senior in college or technical school, with at least 6 months until graduation after end of internship
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
- Strong technical communication skills
- Ability to work in a hybrid (in-person + remote) team environments
- Strong skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment
- Strong organization skills and work ethic; detail oriented
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline
- Previous Co/op, internship experience
- Must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State or U.S. Department of Commerce.
