MLGW is looking to solve the problem of analyzing information requirements to determine hardware/software solutions and developing project plans to implement, develop, or maintain enterprise information systems to meet project deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or Business with a concentration in Information Systems or Math with a concentration in Computer Science
- Minimum of 12 hours college accredited Information Technology or Information Systems courses
- Four (4) years of Division experience in database, computer hardware/software, mainframe, networking, programming, or system analysis skills
- At least six (6) years of equivalent experience
- Demonstrated experience as the primary support person for a particular system or application
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in one (1) or more of the fields listed below

Responsibilities
- Apply advanced-level business and information technology system practices and/or project management methodology in analyzing information requirements to determine hardware/software solutions
- Develop project plans and implement, develop, or maintain enterprise information systems to meet project deliverables
- Assess, plan, design, develop, configure, execute, install, maintain, or modify, enterprise systems, web applications, client server applications, mainframe, network and/or personal computer operating systems, relational database management systems, utilities, and related software
- Analyze/monitor and troubleshoot system performance
- Recommend modification of existing/purchased systems or development of new systems to meet information requirements
- Develop specifications for problem resolution
- Monitor, control, and coordinate new information system developments to ensure maximum utilization and efficiency of software capability and inclusion in long-range strategic planning

- Must have a valid driver's license from state of residence
- Must meet proficiency requirements
- Must have a 3 rating for two (2) consecutive years as a Computer Software Specialist 2 or a 4 rating in last year as a Computer Software Specialist 2
- Bachelor's degree
- Must have at least one (1) year of demonstrated experience as the primary support person for a particular system or application
