The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) is seeking a Computer Specialist (Software) to contribute software development methods, tools, and techniques to achieve well-engineered outcomes within their IT Security Team.
Requirements
- Hands on experience using Power Apps
- Knowledge of Power Automate
- Experience with Dataverse
- Knowledge of Power BI, Dashboards, Reporting, and Data analytics
- computer science or a related computer field
- computer software experience in computer systems development and analysis, applications programming, database administration, systems programming, data communications
- data administration, database management systems, operating systems, data communications systems, capacity planning, and/or online applications programming.
Responsibilities
- Contribute software development methods, tools, and techniques, and apply agreed standards and tools to achieve well-engineered outcomes.
- design, implementation, enhancement, maintenance, and analysis of software systems
- design, implementation, enhancement, and maintenance of either Database Management Systems, Operating Systems, Data Communications Systems, Applications, and/or related software functions.
- systems development work of great difficulty
- systems analysis functions, utilizing general software and software systems analysis in highly complex systems development projects
- coordination and direction of data processing projects, organized to plan and implement complex integrated software development projects
- Holds senior-level technical responsibility for extremely complex and ongoing software functions related to Systems Analysis, Data Administration, Database Management Systems, Operating Systems, Data Communications Systems, On-Line Applications Programming contingency planning, evaluation, and selection of telecommunications, local area networks, computer hardware and software products, and quality assurance functions.

- This position is eligible for telework, which is currently two days per week.
