Reality Labs (RL) is developing cutting-edge Augmented and Virtual Reality (AR/VR) products, and the Mixed Reality (XR) organization is focused on advancing machine perception technologies for these products. The Computer Vision Engineer will contribute to solving challenges that bridge virtual and real worlds, impacting billions of users.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience developing and designing Computer Vision and Perception algorithms for Robotics technologies and systems
  • Experience engineering in C++
  • Prototyping and engineering experience in at least ONE relevant specialization area in Computer Vision or Perception for Robotics: Camera Calibration, Online Calibration, State Estimation, Sensor Fusion, 3D Reconstruction, Camera Pose Estimation, Structure-From-Motion
  • Industry experience working on projects such as: Camera Calibration, Online Calibration, State Estimation, Sensor Fusion, 3D Reconstruction, Camera Pose Estimation, Structure-From-Motion
  • Publication track record at conferences such as SIGGRAPH, CVPR, NIPS, ECCV, ICCV, ISMAR, ICML, RSS, ICRA, IROS, etc

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop novel factory and online calibration algorithms for sensors and displays.
  • Design and prototype automation for calibration in collaboration with mechanical engineers and prototyping technicians
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and research teams from Reality Labs and FAIR in computer vision, machine learning, and graphics
  • Participate in cutting edge research in computer vision that can be applied to AR/VR product development
  • Define projects for other engineers to achieve impact based on your direction
  • Shape the engineering values of your team
