Oxy is looking for a Computer Vision Expert to develop and implement cutting-edge computer vision algorithms for large seismic data analysis, focusing on tasks like image segmentation, to integrate these solutions into seismic interpretation workflows and advance the company's subsurface innovation imaging capabilities.
Requirements
- Experience and understanding of transfer learning and reinforcement learning techniques.
- Experience in applying explainable AI techniques to improve the interpretability of our models.
- Extensive experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, or Tensorflow.
- Proficiency in writing clean, concise, well-tested, and maintainable Python code.
- Proven track record of developing and deploying computer vision algorithms in real-world applications.
- Experience performing basic ML model training tasks such as hyper parameter tuning, feature and model selection.
- Understanding of data engineering to assist with the life cycle of models.
Responsibilities

- Regularly dive into architecture, code, and deployments to model technical excellence for the team.
- Collaborate with geophysicists and data scientists to integrate computer vision solutions into our seismic interpretation workflows.
- Conduct research and stay up to date with the latest advancements in computer vision and deep learning.
- Assist with the deployment of deep learning models to production stages.
- Influence best practices for engineering rigor and help cultivate an engineering driven culture.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to all team members.
Other
- Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on computer vision and deep learning.
