Winnebago Motorhome is seeking a Connected Vehicle Electrical Systems Engineering Manager to lead the integration of embedded hardware, third-party firmware, and digital platforms that bring the next generation connected experiences to life.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with embedded systems (RTOS, Linux), communication protocols (CAN, RV-C, SAE J1939, NMEA 2000, LIN, Ethernet, BLE, LTE, MQTT)
- Familiarity with cloud-connected products and mobile/cloud integration
- Experience collaborating with and leading hardware and firmware teams, including external suppliers
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Vector CANalyzer/CANoe, DOORS, Jira, ADO, Polarion, Git
- Strong understanding of system-level validation, integration testing, and debugging practices
- Experience with Siemens Capital electrical and electronics systems software
- Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS IoT, Azure IoT Hub) and OTA update architecture
Responsibilities
- Define and maintain electrical system architecture for connected experiences across multiple vehicle platforms, integrating with automotive OEM systems, coach HMI, mobile apps, and other connected customer platforms (e.g., cloud services, smart home integrations)
- Develop and manage interface specifications between ECUs, sensors, telematics, and digital platforms (mobile/cloud)
- Coordinate with internal Advanced Technology teams and third-party firmware suppliers to align technical deliverables, timelines, and system integration milestones
- Lead the configuration management process to oversee the lifecycle of hardware and software for connected components, in collaboration with cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams
- Evaluate system-level design trade-offs between hardware and software, ensuring optimal architecture for connectivity, cost, and scalability
- Lead integration testing at the system level, including bench-level (HIL/SIL) and on-vehicle validation
- Own the system requirements, traceability, and validation documentation throughout the development lifecycle

- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- Master’s degree in electrical engineering (EE), or Computer Engineering (CE) or related technical field
- Certification from INCOSE or similar systems engineering organization
