Barton Malow Company's LEAPS (LEArning Practicum for Students) summer program aims to provide students with real-life construction experience, preparing them for the industry and enhancing their classroom education. The program seeks to identify and develop future talent within the construction field.
Requirements
- Enrollment in a Construction Management, Engineering or other relevant program
- Junior/Senior level students must have prior Construction industry internship experience
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for resolution and tracking of project issues
- Manage project document control
- Process submittals and RFI’s
- Support Procurement in the distribution of bidding documents and tracking of bidders
- Prepare and issue meeting minutes
- Assist with planning and managing site logistics
- Conceptual Estimating on complex projects
Other
- Leadership experience among peers (student organizations, athletics, volunteerism...etc.)
- Freshmen and Sophomore students welcome to apply!
- Must have reliable transportation and willingness to travel.
- This is a 12+ week paid internship for the summer, generally starting in Mid-May and ending in Mid-August.
- Students required to relocate will be compensated with subsistence or provided lodging.
