Hoar is looking to fill an internship position in their construction engineering department for the Summer 2026 term
Requirements
- Computer skills including working with spreadsheets
- Working knowledge of construction engineering principles
- Familiarity with construction management software
- Ability to work with various types of equipment and technology
- Basic knowledge of building codes and regulations
Responsibilities
- Gaining an understanding of the construction process
- Participating in quantity takeoff/quantity estimating
- Working with the submittal process: maintaining appropriate logs, reviewing and approving shop drawings and submittals
- Preparing transmittals for distribution for project documentation
- Assisting in jobsite setup, permitting, and closeout
Other
- Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited college or university pursuing a four year or advanced degree in Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Building Science
- Must maintain a 2.5 or higher cumulative GPA
- Must be able to work 40 hours per week during the spring semester
- Completed college freshman year
- Valid Driver's License
