Arcadis is seeking a Construction QA Engineer to implement QAQC processes, conduct equipment and installation inspections, and ensure compliance with client specifications and industry standards on a large Data Center construction project in Maryland.
Requirements
- Good understanding of construction processes, mechanical and electrical systems, and quality control methodologies
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to construction quality control
- Experience with QAQC processes and equipment installation inspections
- Familiarity with data center or critical infrastructure projects
- Understanding of contract documents and compliance requirements
- Experience with testing and inspection plans
- Knowledge of equipment protection plans
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections and maintain documentation
- Review project basis of design and specifications, compile comments, and participate in project readiness meetings
- Attend quality control meetings with the Client, GC, and other trade contractors
- Review and ensure compliance with the GC's QC Plan, Testing and Inspection Plan, and Equipment Protection Plan
- Verify equipment installation and ensure compliance with contract documents
- Review RFIs and Submittal to ensure compliance with the latest revisions
- Perform weekly reviews of the GC's schedule compliance
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in quality assurance, construction management, or related field
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
