Nationwide Financial is looking to hire a professional to lead the strategy, development, and ongoing management of their Life Insurance Product Team's illustration software application, including a third-party platform. This role is crucial for overseeing product enhancements, ensuring quality and timely delivery of illustration solutions, and maintaining illustration capabilities for inforce products to meet evolving business and customer needs.
Requirements
- Expertise in life insurance products, illustration systems, and sales concepts.
- Strong understanding of both technical and business aspects of life insurance illustrations.
- Extensive experience in functional, process, information and data modeling, data management and warehousing and applications integration.
- In-depth experience with process redesign methods and tools.
- Demonstrated knowledge of standards, methodologies and frameworks, business process management and technology.
- Sound knowledge of a variety of tools, concepts and techniques.
- Understanding of new technologies and developments in the technology industry.
- Detailed knowledge of the system development life cycle.
Responsibilities
- Oversee illustration support for new life insurance products, product and rider enhancements, rate changes, and regulatory updates.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams and external vendors to communicate direction, manage timelines, and ensure delivery of high-quality illustration solutions.
- Lead testing efforts to validate illustration accuracy and ensure timely launches aligned with business objectives.
- Continuously improve the illustration experience and output to meet evolving business and customer needs.
- Maintain and enhance illustration capabilities for inforce products, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
- Participates in major process modeling, analysis and design efforts providing business performance management, organizational design and business risk management capabilities to formulate pragmatic, forward facing and impactful business transformation plans.
- Evaluates new technological developments and evolving business requirements, and recommends appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements.
Other
- Proven ability to manage complex initiatives and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
- Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information, business, mathematics or related field desired. Graduate studies are preferred.
- Eight plus years of dynamic experience in planning, designing and implementing company-wide business transformation initiatives.
- Three years of experience in project management is preferred.
- Knowledge of project management concepts and techniques are required.
- Thorough knowledge of facilitation, performance management, organizational design and managing organization change.
- Ability to lead large or sophisticated projects.
- Effective communication skills and ability to deal with ambiguity.
- This role does not qualify for employer-sponsored work authorization. Nationwide does not participate in the Stem OPT Extension program.
- May require occasional travel.
