The Hartford insurance company is looking to solve the problem of creating and maintaining legally defensible group insurance policy and ancillary product material, while ensuring compliance with regulatory changes and contract-related inquiries.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of group products such as Life, Disability, AD&D, Accident, Critical Illness, Hospital Indemnity and state paid leave, including applicable state and federal laws and regulations
- 5+ years product & regulatory compliance experience
- 2+ years experience preparing state filings, including SERFF and IRFS
- Project Management proficiency
- Technical Knowledge (SME)
- Regulatory Research and Comprehension (SME)
- Vendor Supported Filing Initiatives
Responsibilities
- Researching and analyzing compliance and contract-related inquiries, interpreting contract language, variability and regulatory changes to determine impacts to our product offerings
- Drafting accurate and legally defensible group insurance policy and ancillary product material, conducting state filings and supporting certificate fulfillment for all complexity levels
- Submitting form and rate filings via SERFF and IRFS to the various states
- Identifying key process improvement opportunities and the streamlining of existing workflows with a focus on end-to-end processes across business functions
- Participating in compliance and state audits of our insurance programs
- Developing and facilitating team training sessions to build core knowledge base
- Technical Writing Subject Matter Expert (SME)
