Nationwide's Information Technology team is looking to modernize its premium calculation software for the Personal Lines IT organization's Rating and Pricing team.
Requirements
- Java, Angular, Spring Boot, Python, SQL, API development, CI/CD best practices, and automation testing
- Proficiency in one programming language such as Java, C++, Python, JavaScript.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle.
- Hands-on technical leadership experience leading project teams and setting technical direction.
- Proven ability to tackle sophisticated business and development problems.
- Experience in programming and systems analysis.
- Experience in project management is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Documenting technical requirements and capturing technical debt
- Work with our business and requirements partners to accurately identify the challenges that our consumers are facing
- Design solutions that will not only meet the business needs but also have high sustainability and maintainability for our team members
- Champion improvements and quantify their benefits for priority against business deliverables
- Responsible for applying secure software and systems engineering practices throughout the delivery lifecycle to ensure our data and technology solutions are protected from threats and vulnerabilities.
- Analyzes, solutions, develops, tests, debugs, documents and deploys software according to standards and optimal practices.
- Champions the use of DevSecOps practices, tooling and techniques.

- This role does not qualify for employer-sponsored work authorization. Nationwide does not participate in the Stem OPT Extension program.
