The University of Wisconsin-Madison is looking to create, manage, and grow non-credit, professional development, and enrichment programs, specifically in Languages, to maintain and expand its current offerings. This involves understanding market needs, developing new courses, and ensuring program success.
Requirements
- 3 years of experience in creating, developing, and growing educational programs
- 2 years of experience in managing program plans, budgets and schedules
- Demonstrated experience identifying and supporting subject matter experts and/or instructors
- Experience identifying educational needs, associated industries, and audiences for programs through market data and competitive analyses to improve and grow programs
- Experience with Language instruction
- Experience creating non-credit programs and relevant learning outcomes for adult learners
- Experience with Learning Management Systems
Responsibilities
- Identify growth areas through market research and analysis that reflect the changing needs of program participants
- Develop new courses/programs/certificates to complement current offerings
- Ongoing evaluation of program success
- Identify and hire qualified instructors
- Coordinate overall structure of programming to meet learner needs
- Plan and deliver a portfolio of courses/certificates
- Work with marketing, registration, scheduling, and administrative staff to ensure successful and sustainable programs
Other
- May exercise supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 FTE or equivalent employees
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with support staff and other stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience in forming and expanding partnerships with relevant organizations/associations that provide industry standards, certifications, or other credentialing
- Bachelor's Degree required
