The Control System Software Engineering Manager leads a team responsible for developing software and configuration files for programmable components that form the control systems of microgrids, aiming to ensure timely delivery, compliance with standards, and successful project execution.
Requirements
- Experience in a related engineering or design role
- Experience managing engineering teams
- Advanced degree or Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred
Responsibilities
- Develops software and configuration files for programmable components such as protective relays, generator controllers, PLCs, HMIs, data concentrators, and network switches.
- Ensures compliance with engineering design standards and regulations.
- Interface with customer BMS and SCADA systems.
- Estimate programming time for projects and support product/standards development.
- Support Testing & Commissioning, PowerControl Monitoring, and Solution Architecture teams.
- Transfer knowledge to project delivery teams post-contract.

- Manage team workload and competing priorities to ensure timely delivery
- Collaborate with Principal Engineers and Technical Project Managers
- Coordinate with Electrical, Mechanical, and other engineering disciplines
- Support budgeting, strategic planning, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Mentor and guide team members, including performance reviews and career planning
