Google is looking to ensure the financial accuracy of the Android Mobile product area, build processes to support complex partner agreements, and review, analyze, and interpret financial data. The role also aims to lead AI and Automation projects to streamline processes, automate tasks, generate time savings, and unlock new insights.
Requirements
- Experience with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in a public accounting or multinational company setting.
- Experience with SQL and analyzing data sets to make business decisions.
- Experience in managing process improvements or automating tasks/reporting.
- Ability to recognize and present data.
- Reconciling balance sheets and P&L accounts
- Providing supplementary financial information for internal and external reports.
- Lead AI and Automation projects for the broader team.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage global processes for the accounting of Android Mobile.
- Partner with Financial Planning and Analysis, Product, Engineering, and other cross-functional business partners to define, establish, and implement accounting systems, processes, and procedures.
- Review processes and implement controls to ensure mitigated risk for Google.
- Perform month-end close processes, including agreement review and preparing/posting journal entries.
- Prepare and present financials to management and support with requests from cross-functional teams.
- Lead automation projects related to journal entries, reconciliations, reporting, data analysis and more.
- Identify automation opportunities and assess the feasibility and work needed.
Other
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA).
- 4 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 1 year with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance.
- Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work in a team environment.
- Advocate best practices and pitch in where needed.
