AAM is looking for an engineering student interested in controls/automation as a career to join their team to assist in the R&D and deployment of new technology related to inspection and automation equipment.
Requirements
- Experience with and interest in Computer Vision technology.
- Experience with and interest in Automated systems.
- Experience with object-oriented programming.
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Controls/Automation Engineer in the R&D and deployment of new technology related to inspection and automation equipment.
- Adapt new technology to our current controls standards.
- Ensure compliance with applicable national electrical safety standards.
- Identify and implement advanced machine control, sensor, and robotic technologies.
- Assist the Controls/Automation Engineer with PLC/HMI programming.
- Assist the Controls/Automation Engineer with Robot Programming.
- Assist the Controls/Automation Engineer with Electrical system design.
Other
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Mechatronics fulltime.
- Sophomore or higher class standing with at least two years until graduation.
- Available to work a minimum of 25 hour each week year-round.
- Must be able to work in the U.S without sponsorship.
