DEPT® is looking to partner with a Data Science professional to support and contribute to measurement, reporting, performance, insights, and optimization deliverables for their clients. The role requires identifying the 'why' or 'what' from various data sources and acting as a subject matter expert for internal teams and clients.

Requirements

  • Experience with R or Python
  • Proven analysis projects that involve data manipulation and interpretation
  • Strong ability and desire to think analytically with strong problem solving technical analytical skills
  • Comfortability with large data sets and a thorough understanding of data cleaning and manipulation, QA'ing large data to ensure validity
  • Reasonable understanding of the online measurement ecosystem and performance metrics
  • Intermediate level experience with ad serving tools (DFA/DCM, etc...), Paid Search Platforms (Ads, Bing, etc...), Web analytics tools (Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics) and Attribution Solutions (Convertro, Neisen Visual IQ, Adometry)
  • Experience developing and implementing statistical models, with expertise in analyzing complex datasets, interpreting results, and presenting clear, actionable insights to stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Experimental testing: Discussing test setup and implementation with key stakeholders and determining data requirements. Extracting and manipulating data to analyze and monitor test progress. Measuring test performance and developing a cohesive narrative with clear, easily understandable conclusions and actionable recommendations in a concise and organized manner.
  • Integrating reporting across channels for large programs; and leading internal measurement discussions and developing relevant QA practices
  • Supporting and providing input on design, execution, and interpretation of test results
  • Identifying needs for analysis and guiding team members on techniques and interpretation
  • Working closely with the Data Science & Analytics Managers and internal teams to assess the campaign’s technical measurement and data requirements (e.g., analytics coding)
  • Building measurement plans against learning and business objectives, with minimal direction
  • Using multi-touch attribution/ attribution solutions to understand interactions, roles and conversion contributions between marketing channels

Other

  • Ideal candidate will have 6 -12 months of experience with marketing analytics; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Relevant course work or internship experience (Big data/Data Analysis; paid media is a nice to have)
  • Comfortability with learning new systems and tools
  • The ability and strong desire to think analytically with strong problem solving, technical analytic and communication skills
  • Experience applying AI techniques to real-world problems, including designing, training, and deploying models that drive measurable business or research outcomes
