Duke Energy is looking to fill a finance internship position to support their finance department and provide a dynamic environment for students to develop their skills and gain hands-on experience in the financial world of a fortune 150 company.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled and pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business or other business-related discipline or Master of Accountancy (MACC)/Master of Science in Accountancy (MSA)
- Proficient using Microsoft products such as Excel, Word, and Power Point
- Advanced analytical and critical thinking skills – including data analytics
Responsibilities
- preparation of journal entries
- account reconciliations
- financial statements
- budgets
- variance analysis
- gain exposure to various financial systems
- use of Microsoft Excel
Other
- Currently enrolled and pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business or other business-related discipline or Master of Accountancy (MACC)/Master of Science in Accountancy (MSA)
- Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher
- Must not graduate before August 2026
- Effective written and oral communication and collaboration skills
- Must be able to work full-time (40 hours/week) throughout the duration of the summer
